Assistant Professor of Communication Studies at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. I teach Integrated Marketing Communication and Visual Communication.

Game Facilitator

Game Facilitator of TTRPGs since 2017 running over 160 campaign sessions and 40+ one shots. I play primarily play Daggerheart; Worlds Without Number, and Dungeons & Dragons!

Designer

I designed several micro-TTRPGs and analog dice games centered on the academic experience. Currently working on a Sea Beast TTRPG.

Current Projects

My academic research ranges from interpersonal communication; brand communication; game facilitation; play and failure; and world building.

I am also working on several personal design projects concerning TTRPGs.

Game Design

The Seawolf [working title]
A TTRPG where players are the ever-revolving crew of The Sea Wolf, the legendary sea beast hunting ship known for taking the contracts no other ship wants to take. The crew may change at every port (session), but their experiences have a lasting impact on the ship. (Currently Alpha testing)
The Metaliterati Project [working title]
A TTRPG with the focus of teaching critical information literacy practices through collaborative writing and rolling.
